Yale New Haven Health System Center for Healthcare Solutions (YNHHS-CHS) is part of a diverse healthcare system that includes acute care and specialty hospitals. As the recipient of numerous federal grants and contracts with governmental and private entities related to emergency preparedness, healthcare associated infections, health information technology and patient safety programs, YNHHS-CHS develops and adapts healthcare-focused best practices and evidence-based programs that address today’s healthcare delivery challenges. Leveraging a broad understanding of healthcare systems, extensive expertise and a national network of partners and subject matter experts, YNHHS-CHS disseminates programs, services and consultations in 47 states and territories across the country and internationally through assessments, planning, education and training and program evaluation. YNHHS-CHS provides comprehensive, cost-effective, advanced patient care characterized by safety, clinical and service quality.

YNHHS-CHS is the lead organization of an Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) consortium focused on Accelerating Change and Transformation In Organizations and Networks (ACTION). The consortium conducts studies that enhance how healthcare organizations address a variety of issues including improvement of patient care outcomes, clinical quality and the use of health information technology.
